Rise, Grind, Repeat

During our June Recognition Monday meeting, Marco Juarez was asked to speak about one of Highpoint’s Fundamental Behaviors. He spoke on the principle of “rise, grind, repeat.”
Recognition Monday is a companywide meeting held each month to recognize employee achievements, celebrate our wins, and refocus our team on the agency’s annual goals.
Marco’s talk explains each principle and ways to embrace the new opportunities each day brings us.

I would like to start with a little bit of wisdom form one of the greatest poets of our time, Eminem.

“Look, if you had one shot, or one opportunity to seize everything you ever wanted in one moment Would you capture it, or just let it slip?”

Rise

Every day presents a new opportunity. it’s not just about getting out of bed. It’s about waking up with a purpose, setting intentions for the day, and mentally preparing yourself to tackle whatever comes your way. Rising is an acknowledgment that each day is a fresh start, a blank slate, and another chance to pursue your goals.

Grind

This is where the real work happens. It is about persistence, dedication, and effort. It’s about showing up every day and putting in the work, even when it’s hard, even when you’re tired, and even when the odds seem stacked against you. The grind is where you hone your skills, build your resilience, and make progress, however small it might seem.

It’s the hours spent practicing when no one is watching, the late nights and early mornings, the sacrifices, and the hard decisions. But it’s in these moments that character is built. It’s through the grind that you develop discipline, and discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishments.

Repeat

Consistency is key. It’s not enough to rise and grind for a day, a week, or even a month. The real magic happens when you commit to this process day after day, year after year.

Repetition isn’t about doing the same thing over and over again without thought. It’s about improvement, learning from each day, and making adjustments to get better every time. It’s about resilience – the ability to bounce back from setbacks and keep moving forward. It’s about understanding that success is not a straight line but a series of peaks and valleys.

So, as you go forward, remember these three words: Rise, Grind, Repeat. Embrace the new opportunities each day brings us. They speak to the urgency of action, the importance of rising to the occasion, and of not letting our dreams slip through our fingers.
