Scott Howard, a Risk Architect since 2017, Studied at St. Edward’s University. Raised in League City, Texas, and is married with two children. When he is not watching the kids play sports, Scott loves to hunt, fish, camp, and travel to Lake City, Colorado!
He started his career as a CPA working on Public Accounting and as a Controller for an Insurance agency. After spending 16 years in finance and accounting and various roles from Controller to Chief Financial Officer in the Oil & Gas Industry, Scott got back into the Insurance game and is one of Highpoint’s key players! Working through the risk identification process, uncovering hidden risks, and putting together programs that include insurance to add an extra layer of protection for business owners and their most considerable assets is what makes his work so enjoyable.
When asked what inspires him, Scott will tell you it is his family’s success and happiness, and more specifically, his wife and children. He is also inspired by building and growing meaningful relationships while partnering with business owners to protect their business. One piece of advice that has resonated with him most is, “if you have to tell people who you are, you ain’t”.
If Scott were a superhero, he would want the ability to fly, although he is not even sure if that is a real superpower.
