During our February Recognition Monday meeting, Marisa Puete was asked to speak about one of Highpoint’s Fundamental Behaviors. She spoke on the principle of “honoring commitments.”
Recognition Monday is a companywide meeting held each month to recognize employee achievements, celebrate our wins, and refocus our team on the agency’s annual goals.

Honoring commitments is a vital aspect of personal integrity and character. When we make a commitment, whether it be to ourselves or others, we are essentially making a promise to follow through on our word. Honoring these commitments not only demonstrates reliability and trustworthiness but also builds strong relationships based on mutual respect.

By honoring commitments, we show that we value and prioritize the needs and expectations of others. It reflects our ability to fulfill responsibilities in a timely manner and deliver on what we have promised. This level of commitment builds trust and strengthens the bond between individuals, whether it be in personal or professional settings. commitments also instills discipline within us as it requires self-accountability and dedication to see tasks through completion. By staying true to our word, we develop a sense of discipline that helps us achieve our goals and pursue success with integrity.
