Raise the Bar

By September 12, 2023Culture
During our September Recognition Monday meeting, Brandy Fisher was asked to speak about one of Highpoint’s Fundamental Behaviors. She spoke on the principle of “raise the bar.”
Recognition Monday is a companywide meeting held each month to recognize employee achievements, celebrate our wins, and refocus our team on the agency’s annual goals.
Brandy’s talk is motivational and challenges us to raise the bar for ourselves and others.
Read it below:

RAISE THE BAR. Regularly reevaluate every aspect of your job and the needs of our customers to find ways to improve. Don’t be satisfied with the status quo. “Because we’ve always done it that way” is not a reason. Keep getting better. Innovation and constant improvement are the foundation to our success.

At Highpoint we are life-long learners and achievers. That doesn’t mean we always get it right the first time, but we are continuously looking for ways to provide best in class service to our clients. In order to provide best in class service, we have to RAISE THE BAR.  Raising the bar means we set high standards to raise the expectations.  To RAISE THE BAR as one unit, we have to first set high standards & expectations for ourselves: challenge yourself, do the right thing always, earn your seat every day, & don’t settle for the ordinary. Raising the bar is contagious. You raise the bar in your role, it will positively influence those around you to do the same.

Let’s RAISE THE BAR together!
